I have purchased a couple of the air filters, but need to clean them, so whats the best way of doing that?

These filters can be cleaned, but you need to proceed with care when you do this. You'll want to clean the filters from the inside out. In other words, do not push the debris on the outside of the filter to the inside.
I don't know if your filters are oily or just dusty. If they're dusty, you'll wan to use an old toothbrush and very lightly brush as much crud off the outside and away from the filter. Do this very lightly so you don't push it though the filter. Next, clean off your brush and mix up a small bucket or bowl with a little bit of Dawn dish washing detergent and water. The Dawn will break down any oil and grease. Wash the filter from the inside out. Use the tooth brush with a bit of Dawn on it to remove any oil or grease. Then use a little water pressure from a garden hose to rinse the filter from inside out. Do not spray from outside in. Once you have the soap off, shake off the filters and let them dry in the sun.
