TM Series Carburetors provide significant performance improvements over older design round slide carburetors. Air flows faster and smoother through the TM Series venturi due to the flat slide configuration and the jet blocks which help create a smoothbore effect. The high velocity of the air flow means a stronger vacuum at the needle jet, providing more precise metering and better throttle response. With accelerator pump!

This carburetor in particular is used on MANY applications, including the Suzuki DR350. Standard jetting is almost spot on for most DR350 setups depending on any performance related modifications. DR350 models which came with an electric start may have clearance issues.

Would this carburetor be suitable for my 1976 t140 triumph

For most applications where the bike is close to stock form, you will likely run into issues with the height of the carburetor. There likely is not enough clearance to clear this tall of a carb. For the most part, we would recommend the 32, or 34mm round slide Mikunis.
