On your Triumph T-140 Foam Connector Gasket p.n. 71-7166 for carb to airbox, the shape looks right, but to me the length appears short? My existing ones are about 1" (15/16") long, with outer
diameter 2-5/8", and inner diameter 2-1/4". Also they are labeled Made in the UK.
If yours are not the 1" length, I think it could be an issue with not enough contact over the carburetor intake on both sides of the airbox wall for reliable continuous sealing. Mine extend about 1/2" on either side of the airbox wall. Also it would be a potential appearance issue at the front of the gasket to the carburetor.
Yours on the picture appear to me to be 5/8" long. Could it lengthen on installation? I realize that the foam should stretch a little for going over the carburetor intake, but I don't think that much.
Sorry to go into detail about it, but if I got them I'd want them to be right, as your parts have always been for me. They're not absolutely necessary to be replaced at this point, but I hope
you could answer my question---Thanks.

These parts are from LF Harris, the original parts provider to Triumph and are factory original parts. I assure you this is exactly what you need. I will send you a photo of the factory packaging to your email. There is absolutely no way to tell size from a photo unless you have a tape measure or something of a known size (like a quarter) next to the item for comparison.
